TRAVELLING TO EUROPE WITH YOUR CAR AFTER BREXIT
At the moment, travelling to Europe couldn’t be easier for British citizens – all you need is a valid UK passport and you’re good to go. However, travelling to Europe after Brexit is going to get a little bit more complicated from 29th March 2019. But there’s no need to worry, here at P&O Ferries you’re in safe hands! We’ve put together a list of handy travel tips of everything you’ll need to know so that you can be fully prepared for all your future journeys.
Pack Everything You Need
You don’t need to leave anything behind when you are travelling with your car to Belgium as you can bring as much luggage as you like on board with you, so feel free to pack your boot with everything you might require during your break.
On arrival at the port, simply follow the signs to your terminal. You will be given a card to hang from your rear view mirror and directions to where you need to wait to board the ship when you check-in, it’s as simple as that!
When it is time to board you will be directed by our friendly members of staff to where you need to park your car. Once you are in your space please remember to turn off your car alarm before you exit your car as this can be activated by the movement of the ferry and cause noise disturbance during the crossing.
Start Your Adventure
Keep an eye out for which coloured staircase is nearest to your car as this will help you to find your vehicle when it is time to leave, and then have fun and enjoy all of the great entertainment that we offer on board during your trip across the North Sea.
Upon reaching Zeebrugge port you will be advised when to go back to your car and can await instructions that tell you when it is time to disembark. All that’s left to do is head through passport control and onwards to your adventures in Belgium.
