P&O FERRIES INTRODUCES VIP SERVICE FOR NORTH SEA FREIGHT DRIVERS WITH NEW COMMERCIAL DRIVERS CLUB

18.09.2017

P&O FERRIES has launched a new Commercial Drivers Club which guarantees VIP service for freight drivers using its overnight routes on the North Sea.

The complimentary club, which was launched over the summer and has already signed up more than 100 members, is unique on the North Sea.

Members using P&O Ferries' terminals at Hull, Zeebrugge or Europoort can enjoy a TV lounge, free refreshments and dedicated lavatory facilities.

They are also allocated a cabin with bathroom on board which is solely for their own use, subject to availability during peak season.

Nick Pank, P&O Ferries' Head of Freight - North Sea, said: "Freight drivers are some of our most important and loyal customers and we want to provide everyone who signs up for the Commercial Drivers Club with a VIP service."

"The benefits for members of travelling with us on the North Sea include discounts in our on-board shops, Sky Sports in the drivers' lounge on our Hull-Europoort services and a new TV area on our Hull-Zeebrugge services."

"We have improved our menus and introduced a new lay-out in the on-board restaurants, with drivers able to sit wherever they want. And when it comes to leaving the port the next morning, we have introduced an improved terminal exit lay-out which allows drivers to be on their way faster than ever before."

Members, who only need to complete an application form to join, receive a swipe card which enables them to access the designated facilities at the ports and also a complimentary P&O Ferries Commercial Drivers Club polo shirt.

P&O Ferries is a leading pan-European ferry and logistics company, sailing on eight major routes between Britain, France, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Holland and Belgium. It operates more than 20 vessels which carry 10 million passengers, 1.6 million cars and 2.2 million freight units every year.

Together with its logistics division, P&O Ferrymasters, the company also operates integrated road and rail links to countries across the continent including Italy, Poland and Romania. A P&O Ferrymasters-owned rail terminal in the northern Romanian city of Oradea, which will facilitate the onward movement of goods to Britain from the Silk Road, became operational last year.
