Vicky's Golden games
I won two Gold medals at the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sport (IWAS) World Junior Games in Switzerland.
Despite the pouring rain and difficult conditions, I set a new personal best and took the Under-23 World title in the shot put with a distance of 6.14 metres. It was the first time that I had thrown a distance of more than six metres and I was really pleased with my performance.
I also took the discus title with a distance of 16.33 metres, again in the pouring rain.
I'm off to Belfast next to compete in the shot, discus and javelin at the World Dwarf Games.
Selection success for Vicky
Congratulations to Vicky on her selection to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland in the shot put at the Paralympic World Cup in Manchester on 11 May.
The Paralympic World Cup is the annual world-class event for elite international athletes that bridges the gap between the four-yearly Paralypmic Games.
Vicky's progress:
I competed for Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Paralympic World Cup in Manchester on 11 May. It was a great experience to compete against some of the World's best athletes and I threw 5.43m in the shot put competition, which was just short of my personal best.
I also competed at the National Dwarf Games in Birmingham and threw 5.49m in the shot put. In the discus I threw 16.10m, but my best result was in the Javelin where I threw 18.91m, which was a new European record.
