Luke Moon, from Deal, is a former European junior champion rower
Date of birth: 25th March 1993, 18 years old

Currently studying for his A levels at the Sandwich Academy with hopes of attending Berkley University California next year to study sports science
· Luke has had his fair share of difficulties and issues to overcome during his sporting career; not only has he gone against the grain by achieving so highly in what is generally a public school sport, but he also spent over a year out of action due to an injury - Luke suffered thoracic outlet syndrome, causing his arm to seize up. It took a year to diagnose and operate on, followed by eight months of rehabilitation.
Against the odds, in spite of his injury AND on top of his studies Luke now competes for the Henley-based Leander Rowing Club and will be competing in GB Under 23 squad.
He will also be Competing at Diamond sculls this year
Luke intends to continue to train hard once at University with ambition to be part of the 2016 Olympics in Rio
