Early booking bargains for skiers sailing off to the slopes

Skiers planning to head off to the slopes this winter can save on ferry crossings and hotels this year thanks to P&O Ferries and the French holiday company Pierre & Vacances.

Travelling from Dover to Calais with P&O Ferries offers skiers the chance to pack up their cars with friends and kit without the worry of supplements for excess baggage. Fares for a car and up to nine passengers start from £39 each way and there is a choice of 23 departures every day.

Alternatively departures on the overnight service from Hull to Zeebrugge start from £122 each way for a car and four passengers for a standard return crossing. The price includes cabin accommodation on board the ship and is valid for a Continental stay of more than five days.

Pierre & Vacances has 20 per cent off a wide choice of ski accommodation in France for bookings made by 31 October. This includes a wide range of apartments and luxury chalets. Among the offers available for early bookers is seven nights in a four person luxury apartment for €450 in December when staying at Chamonix in the heart of the French Alps.
