Step into historic Bruges

Visitors to Bruges can step back in time at the new Historium Brugge museum opening this winter and to get there P&O Ferries is offering special fares on mini cruises to the Belgian city via its port at Zeebrugge.

This new museum is located in the Grote Markt main market square and opens to visitors on 25 November. It offers guests a journey through the city’s fifteenth century medieval history. Visitors can experience the sights, sounds, smells and even the tastes of the Bruges of the Middle Ages with exhibits inspired by the artist Jan van Eyck. Entry is €11 for adults and €5.50 for children. The museum also offers a combi-ticket for €15 that includes entry to the city’s Groeninge Museum of fine art, featuring more of the Belgian artist’s work.

Mini cruise fares on the service from Hull with P&O Ferries start from £73 per person and under the company’s current two for one offer when one pays one goes free until 31 December 2012. The mini cruise fare includes a standard cabin on each overnight sailing and coach transfers between the port and Bruges city centre. For longer stays prices start from £119 each way for a car and two passengers including a cabin.
