Swing over to Holland

P&O Ferries is offering music fans a direct route to one of Europe’s largest jazz festivals with special ferry fares to the Netherlands this summer.

Founded in 1976, the North Sea Jazz Festival is held annually at the Ahoy arena in Rotterdam. This year’s event runs from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 July and features jazz, hip-hop, and blues artists including Van Morrison, Hugh Laurie, Rufus Wainwright, Tony Bennett and Lenny Kravitz. Tickets start from €89 per person for one day or €209 for the full three days.

Jazz fans can get to the concert via the P&O Ferries service from Hull to Rotterdam with the company offering special fares for travel in July. A 3-day return ticket on the overnight crossing starts from £199 for a car and two passengers, including cabin accommodation. For up to seven days away prices start from £299 return.

The special ferry fares can be booked until 30 June for travel until 31 July 2012 at www.poferries.com or on 08716 64 64 64.

More information about the festival and its line-up of artists is available at www.northseajazz.com/en
