Austrian Alps have year-round appeal

Austria is a popular destination all year round, one expert has said.

The country is blessed with a favourable climate which appeals to skiers in winter and hikers in the spring and summer.

This makes buying a holiday home in the country ideal, as it means investors are guaranteed rental income 12-months a year, explains overseas property firm BuyAssociation.

Resorts in the Alps are particularly appealing to both investors and holidaymakers, said property editor Paul Collins.

"The air is really clean, the environment is really pleasant and there's not a huge amount of over-building because of the physical restrictions of building in the mountains," Mr Collins highlighted, pointing out the appeal of the destination.

"Added to the fact that the winter holiday season in Austria is well established, it's a great destination for skiing," the expert concluded. "The snow is very reliable."
