Europe's hottest snowboarding destination is tipped to be LAAX in Switzerland this year. Made up of three villages - Flims, Laax and Falera - the area of Graubunden is attracting the attention of snowboarders from across the continent.
The resorts are home to some 220km of pistes, with 27 lifts so you can use all your energy getting down the slopes. And the night is brought alive in Flims by a snow cannon, while Laax has lights, enabling those with enough energy to board into the night.
There are four main parks in the region which are very popular with the snowboarding community. The two best-known parks are Noname and Plaun. Noname is home to a 140-metre super-pipe and an 80-metre mini-pipe. It also has 12 boxes and eight rails for snowboarders to hone their skills. Jumps range between five and 15 metres.
Plaun has a reputation as being the most challenging park, with a run of between 600 metres and 1.5km.
Most of Switzerland's parks have now opened, with many welcoming visitors until April.
