Enjoy fine wine and cheese

The best wineries from around Lake Geneva are to get together for a festival celebrating the fine liquid and the end of the grape harvesting season.

Fans of the drink are invited to taste local varieties of the drink which will be served with accompanying cheeses and fish in Russin.

As part of the festival there will also be numerous other entertainments. For example, concerts, parades and street entertainment will all be held to keep designated drivers and children entertained.

According to MySwitzerland.com, one of the "true treasures" of the Lake Geneva region is the wine produced by growers there and the cheese and food produced in the area is available in the local "taste-tempting" shops.

Lake Geneva is the second-largest freshwater lake in central Europe when it is measured by surface area and 60 per cent is part of Switzerland, the other 40 per cent under the control of France.
