Switzerland and Austria are gearing up for one of the seminal attractions for sports fans this summer, as Euro 2008 gets underway in central Europe.
And, in a taster of what is to come, Uefa has announced plans for the Euro Experience Tour starting on January 28th at the Rosentalanlage in Basel.
A multimedia cinema will be on hand and the biggest inflatable tour tent in the world will showcase what tourists and locals can expect this summer.
Free entry will mean maximum attendance as a 25-minute film shows spectacular action from previous tournaments and touches on some of the activities underway as the action kicks off.
"The Euro Experience Tour gives football fans the opportunity to be part of this exciting European Championship," said Uefa president Michel Platini. "The tour will be ground-breaking in its size, technology and ability to bring a wonderful football experience to thousands of football fans."
In each city on the Euro 2008 itinerary – which includes a range of locations across Austria and Switzerland - the official Uefa Euro 2008 hot-air balloon will ascend.
