An open-air cinema experience is set to arrive in Switzerland later this month, giving fans of the silver screen a treat.
Between Saturday July 12th and Sunday July 27th the annual Film Festival Vaduz will take place in Vaduz, on the north-east of Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
MySwitzerland.com says of the event: "Star Wars under the starry sky? Pretty Woman in romantic moonlight?
"There is nothing quite as intense as the open-air movie theater experience."
It adds that the Film Festival Vaduz gives cinematic enthusiasts the chance to mix with other movie buffs from all over the world.
Each year, says the website, the festival's programme is varied, guaranteeing visitors a fortnight of drama, crime, thrills, adventures and even romance.
The Lonely Planet travel guide describes Switzerland as boasting a "fusion" of German, French and Italian cultures.
It adds that Switzerland's alpine landscapes "have enough zing to reinvigorate the most jaded travellers"
