The Swiss holiday resort of St Moritz has been named the most romantic location for a spot of Valentine's Day skiing in a new poll.
According to figures from the Ski Club, St Moritz caters to couples looking for the perfect short break in the snow.
Cosy sleigh rides, candlelit dinners and secluded chalets set against stunning scenery combine to make the destination one of the best in Europe for couples.
The Ski Club told Easier that a short skiing break "can be one of the most romantic holidays around".
Following the Swiss resort in the list of top five romantic snow retreats were France's Megeve, Kitzbuhel in Austria and Andermatt - also in Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Travelzoo recently said that a growing number of people are choosing to propose on ski holidays, with the Swiss Alps among the top destinations.
"Picking the perfect destination is an important decision and can make any proposal extraordinary," said Gabe Sagile from the New York-based travel firm.
