Purchasing property in Swiss ski resorts is not as pricey as many people believe, according to Rightmoveoverseas.co.uk.
The agency says that people are moving back to traditional European markets, with many investors choosing to put their money into the more stable markets of Western Europe.
Carlo Walther, head of business development for the firm, commented that in the past, Swiss ski property has been seen as expensive but the reaity is that there are "affordable" houses there.
"Most of the property [available] is actually ski property and you can get a chalet for around £200,000," he added.
According to Switzerland's official website for Euro 2008, the football tournament will increase interest in the country for both investment and tourism purposes.
It adds that there will be promotional and image effects from broadcasting on both television and radio, as well as bringing between 2.8 million and 5.4 million visitors to the country.
