Belgium 'a stable place for property investment'

The European country of Belgium is one of the best places to look for property investment.

Brussels, as the home of the European Union and a major base for several financial services firms, is a particularly favourable destination for those Britons looking to move into the property sector.

Highlighting the demand for property in Belgium is the recent opening of a new branch of estate agency Savills.

The international property experts opened Savills Belux on February 22nd due to increased demand for property in both Belgium and Luxembourg.

Managing director John Defauw, explained the reason behind the new venture. "The Belgian and Luxembourg markets are very healthy, stable markets for delivering long-term prospects for corporate investors," he commented.

Belgium is a popular destination for British tourists, with ferry travel from Hull to the port of Zeebrugge throughout the year.
