Children visiting Belgium over Christmas will have the chance to travel back in time and play with toys from days gone by.
The Brussels Centre Cultural de Joli Bois will be bringing out toys from past eras during December and children will be able to get a taste of what life was like before the time of Playstations and the internet. Participants are expected to experience the real pleasure of play, using their imaginations to get an idea of how their parents and grandparents played when they were young.
The displays are hands-on, and include classic train sets, tin soldiers, yoyos, building bricks and even the olden day versions of favourites such as remote control cars.
The two-day event is €5, while under-tens go free.
The annual Toy Party is said to be a great day out for all family members, who can enjoy the city of Brussels as it comes alive with Christmas activity.
