Holidaymakers looking for an authentic French experience may want to celebrate one of the nation's major holidays with locals in the country.
On November 11th, Armistice Day will take place to celebrate the end of World War I and will see the entire nation come together for parties and parades.
Jour de l'Armistice de 1918, as it is known in France, is a public holiday in the country, which also remembers the many people who laid down their life in the name of their nation.
The word Armistice itself means to terminate aggression and is a period which serves as a prelude to peace negotiations.
AsiaRooms.com says: "You will get a glimpse of the rich culture of France on this day. The day has a place of its own among the many festivals and events in France."
France has also been recommended to holidaymakers this week as a top place to pitch up a tent and get closer to nature.
According to Midlands newspaper the Sunday Mercury campsites in France are now equipped with swimming and paddling pools and are a great place to meet other travellers.
