Film fans travelling to France by ferry next month might be interested in attending the Festival des 3 Continents (F3C).
Since 1979, the F3C has presented up to 100 films each year, from fictions to documentaries, by filmmakers from Africa, Latin America and Asia.
This year's event will be held in Nantes from November 25th to December 2nd and includes a special programme of attractions.
Among the highlights are a panorama of young Ecuadorian cinema, a shorts programme, special hours for genres from horror to action and Produire au Sud workshops.
F3C has become an internationally-recognised platform for discovering and revealing independent filmmakers.
Each year it is attended by nearly 40,000 moviegoers, with many getting involved through master classes and other educational events over the week.
The festival is driven by curiosity and a taste for discovery, high aesthetic standards and the love of cinema.
Partners of the event include Kodak, Europcar and Titra Films.
There is so much on offer for those looking for a taste of France. Read our guide to France for more information.
