Cheap homes are on offer in the French property market for those interested in making an easy ferry crossing, it has been reported.
TheMoveChannel.com stated that France offered a unique investment opportunity and was "one of the most vibrant housing markets" the world had to offer, with substantial price growths in recent years across the nation.
Managing director of the online company Dan Johnson said that the ease of access by ferry to France was one of many factors that galvanised the interest of British tourists and second home locators.
Research by the company noted that a "high quality" apartment with one bedroom near the Alps can be bought for as little as £82,000.
"France is still a firm favourite as a property hotspot, which is no surprise as the country has so much to offer. It's easily accessible, with first-class transport links and travel locations," he continued.
French property company VEF recently noted that France was under no threat of recession and as such had a much more stable property market for potential buyers.
