Le Touquet Rally drivers take to Calais roads

This weekend, the Nord-pas-de-Calais region is to host the Le Touquet Rally. Visitors to the region will see cars race through the roads of the Opal Coast.

It is traditionally rainy on the day of the race, which is said to make the course more challenging for drivers and more interesting for spectators. Drivers speed along the roads which form the track in various different types of vehicle.The winner of the race must therefore balance speed with skill to beat rivals to the finish line.

Le Touquet is a great place to see and is known as the weekend playground for Parisians and is located by the sea. It is home to great restaurants and a selection of quality hotels.

The event is free to watch and promises to be a great day out for the whole family.
