Les Deux Alpes to host ski festival

France's Les Deux Alps mountain resort will be home to a skiing and snowboarding festival at the end of this month, it has been revealed.

Mondial du Snow - the World of Snowboarding - is to follow this weekend's Mondial du Ski in the popular resort and will bring together some of the top winter sports fanatics to compete in a range of competitions that many prospective ferry travellers may be interested to watch.

The World Events Guide noted that the event was known for creating a "youthful buzz", with a bigger crowd turning up each year alongside a number of celebrities.

It added: "Experts are on hand to offer advice and tips and visitors also have the opportunity to try out and buy the latest snowboarding fashions and gear at the trade expo." 

The weekend will take part on October 31st until November 2nd.

According to 2alpesnet.com, the weekend will have a Wild West cowboy theme, much like this weekend's festivities.
