Those wanting to take their children on a holiday that will leave them with good memories may want to get the ferry over to the continent, according to a national reporter.
Vincent Crump of the Times said that Paris' Musee D'Orsay is a great location to take children, educating them in the wonders of some of the most famous pieces of art in the world.
The museum, he reasoned, shows everything from Van Gogh's "starlit skies" to Monet's lilies as well as numerous other pieces of art commonly found in textbooks.
Mr Crump said that regardless of the "gob-smacking" qualities of such icons as the Eiffel Tower, children needed stimulating things to engage with.
He continued: "Children aren't like us. They don't set off on holiday frazzled and ready to flop. They're full of energy, their inquiring minds demanding stimulus."
The museum was installed in Orsay railway station in 1900 for the Universal Exhibition and has remained that way until the present day.
