Rock out in Paris this summer

Fans of rock music are being given the chance to see some of their favourite bands play in one of the world's most romantic cities this summer.

On August 28th and 29th the annual Festival Rock en Seine will take place at the Domaine National de Saint Cloud, just outside the French capital.

This year international artists such as Amy Winehouse, REM and The Streets will be headlining the event.

Other top acts confirmed for the festival include the Raconteurs, who feature Jack White of the White Stripes, British songstress Kate Nash and Leeds-based band the Kaiser Chiefs.

Tickets for both days of the event will cost 75 euros (£60), while entry into just one of the days is priced at 45 euros, making the festival considerably cheaper than many held on English soil of a similar status.

Furthermore, on August 20th there will also be a gig at the Domaine National de Saint Cloud, as Rage Against the Machine will perform at the venue.
