Those with a sweet tooth for chocolate might want to visit France this autumn for a celebration of the confectionery.
Le Salon du Chcocolat is an annual festival which promises to be a dream come true for chocolate lovers.
Being held at the convention centre beneath the Louvre from October 29th the November 2nd, the event offers tastings and chefs demonstrations at a variety of stands from international chocolatiers.
As well as this, there will be opportunities to buy all manner of sweet treats, from truffles and hot chocolate to chocolate-dipped fruit kebabs.
However, not all of the chocolate on offer is just for eating – there will also be chocolate fashion, sculpture and art on display.
Exhibitions include the history of chocolate, books on chocolate and desserts and an antique collection of teapots used exclusively for hot chocolate.
Those looking to visit the event might want to go by ferry, as a recent survey by the Port of Dover revealed that 70 per cent of passengers find getting to France by sea is less stressful than flying.
