Berlin Fashion Week details announced

Details of the upcoming Berlin Fashion Week have been announced.

The event, set to attract fashion industry insiders and visitors from across Europe, will take place between January 27th and 31st at several venues across the city.

International brand Hugo Boss will kick off the festivities at the Airport Tempelhof on Sunday evening - a show sure to please enthusiastic crowds.

On Monday, the Postbahnhof will host the main events, including runway shows and exhibitions from some of Germany's best new designers.

The Kerstadt New Generation Award - sponsored by the top German department store of the same name - will be another key attraction for Monday, as will the Joop! menswear show.

Most of the catwalk shows are ticket-only events, though Britons taking a short ferry ride across to Berlin will still be able to soak up several free events due to take place across the city over the five days.

Berlin is full of independent art galleries and boutiques which will all be embracing the fashion week vibe with sales and parties.
