    Cologne museums' Long Night

For one night only Cologne's museums will be staying open into the small hours of the morning.

On November 3rd, the city's museums will all stay open until 03:00, running shuttle buses between them to help visitors get round all of them during the special night. There are 40 museums involved in the night-long learning session, allowing visitors to sample all that the city has to offer in one trip.

Cologne's greatest offerings are clustered in the city centre, the two main museums being the Roman-German museum and the Wallraf-Richartz museum. Other favourites in the area are the Applied Art museum, the Ludwig museum and the Mikwe museum, with a collection of Jewish medieval bath artefacts.

The event costs €13 in advance and €14.50 on the day, which includes free use of public transport for the day and night of the event.

Cologne's Long Night is followed by a selection of carnival festivities, making now a great time to head to Germany.
