    Flamenco in Dusseldorf

Britons travelling to Germany next month could enjoy a taste of Spain in Dussledorff.

The city is to host its annual tribute to the Andalusian dance tradition in March at the Tanzhaus NRW Celebrating the music behind the fiery dance, this year's ten-day festival opens on March 13th.

Aimed at broadening the cultural experiences of young people, the event is perfect for families looking to try something new while on holiday. As well as showcasing dance performances, the festival will include a series of interactive workshops offering visitors the chance to master the art of flamenco guitar.

The castanets are often regarded as the backbone of flamenco music and dance routines and as such, a significant part of the festival will be devoted to the history of the small but integral instruments.

A series of cultural festivals and artistic performances are held throughout the year at the Tanzhaus NRW, with the innovative work of young dancers, musicians and artists championed.
