This week will be the annual Frankfurt Jazz Festival, one of the most well-respected and longest running jazz celebrations in Europe. From October 25th until 27th, jazz fans the world over will be heading to the city to take in the atmosphere and hear some of the latest offerings from the musical world.
Players perform in a huge tent, located outside the Hessicher Rundfunk Broadcast Studio. They are to broadcast live so that jazz fans all over Germany can enjoy the festival. Some of the greatest performances this year are expected to be from Maarifa Street, Jon Hassell and the Dave Douglas Keystone Sextet, according to reports.
Throughout next week jazz events will be taking place, with the opportunity to buy CDs and DVD of performers.
And a trip to Frankfurt offers much more than the festival, with beautiful architecture and a great many places to see sure to entertain visitors.
