Hofbrauhaus, located in the middle of Munich, is 'the world's most famous beer hall', according to a spokesperson.
The hall is more than 400 years old and can seat up to 3,000 drinkers served by waiting staff wearing traditional costume.
Famous former patrons of the Hofbrauhaus include Lenin, the Empress Sissi and Mozart.
As well as the traditional Hofbrau beer, the state-owned hall offers food and traditional-style oompapah music for dancing.
Food on offer is a buffet service of a number of Bavarian specialties.
The Hofbrauhaus has even inspired its own song, whose words "oans, zwoa, g'suffa" mean "one, two, chug". On the Bavarian evenings, there are alphorn players, Alpine dancers and a yodeller.
The Hofbrauhaus also runs an enormous beer tent at the annual Oktoberfest festival of beer.
