Visit Europe's highest rollercoaster in Germany

Germany's Europa-Park is the home of Europe's highest rollercoaster but also has many other treats on offer for thrill-seekers.

The park is truly a continental affair and is themed around different areas of Europe including England, France, Switzerland and the other countries of western Europe.

"Merry Old England" is made up of traditional English landmarks including a reconstruction of Shakespeare's Globe theatre, an old-style sweet shop and a shooting range.

In the French section there are French bistros and restaurants and Europe's biggest and highest rollercoaster the Silver Star.

The German section is based on traditional German architecture and includes an "ancient German fair".

Europa-Park is the second most-popular theme park in Europe, after Disneyland Paris.
