Antwerp has become a city stage this summer as part of a series of free music festivals.

While the summer months are nearly over, there are still a variety of events left for visitors to enjoy during a city-break to the Belgian destination.

On Saturday September 13th, as part of the Straatlaweit (Street Noise) series, the TeKiela event will take take place in Kielpark from 16:00 local time onwards.

Billed as a "colourful music festival in a green environment" by Antwerp's tourist board, the event will provide entertainment for holidaymakers.

The following weekend will see the Twee Netendstraat host the Den Dam Davert event, which is described as a "sunny music festival" that will begin at noon.

Finally, on Saturday September 27th the series will come to an end with the Waagstock in Stadwaag, which begins at 15:00 local time and will feature "swinging music on a cosy plaza".

The Lonely Planet travel guide describes Antwerp as a "richly historic city", which "tangle[s] the old and the new … so enchantingly".
