Famous for its flowers, particularly tulips from Amsterdam, the Holland Flowers Festival promises to be a spectacular event.
Taking place in February in Zwaagdijk-Oost's Greenery, hundreds of arrangements will be on show, giving botanists a real treat. Tulips will obviously have a big part to play, along with more unusual flowers from all over the world.
This will be the 75th year of the world's largest indoor flower show, which gives visitors the chance to wander round endless spring gardens, with colour being a strong theme. The flower gardens cover 4,500 square metres, featuring bulbs, trees, ornamental plants and shrubs.
With such a wide selection of gardens, influences come from many genres, from modern, minimalist style plots to more old fashioned gardens. Running from February 20th to 24th, doors open at 10:00. Tickets are priced at €10 for adults.
For those with shopping on the brain, there will be a variety of lifestyle stalls selling gardening and house ware, to allow people to take some of Holland's botanical culture home.
