The landlocked principality of Andorra in the south of France is a great destination for people looking for a winter sports adventure, it has been stated.
Ben Rankin, writing for the Daily Mirror, noted that the resort did not have a train station or an airport, which could make it the perfect place to go for car users taking their motor on the ferry to Bilbao.
He said that "every year millions of tourists - a large proportion of whom are Brits - visit to enjoy a variety of winter and summer sports. And, of course, to take advantage of the country's tax-free shopping".
The country, about the size of the Isle of Wight, provides a large number of pistes, with Mr Rankin recommending sports enthusiasts to get themselves a Ski Andorra pass for just under £140 to get five-day access to all resorts in the principality.
Over 80 per cent of Andorra's income comes from tourism, with 11.6 million tourists visiting the country each year, according to the US Central Intelligence Agency.
