Cheeky Girls soak up the sun in Spain

Romanian pop stars the Cheeky Girls are taking a relaxing break in Spain this summer, it has been revealed.

The duo, Gabriela and Monica Irimia, who found fame on a reality TV show has been snapped by the Daily Mail soaking up the sun in a Spanish holiday resort.

During their break, the popstars spent their time sunbathing and playing on the beach in the sunshine sporting brightly coloured swimwear.

Their decision to take a break in the sunny nation, which can be access from England by cross-channel ferry, follows that of Kate Moss who has also been photographed on Spanish shores this summer.

According to the Times newspaper, there is currently a "renaissance" in ferry travel as holidaymakers try to avoid airport delays, fuel surcharges and aim to lower their carbon footprints.

The newspaper explained: "Cross-channel operators … are taking advantage of the rising costs of flying, airport delays backlash, and increasing popularity of motorhoming to tempt us back to the high seas."
