The Costa Blanca and the Costa Almeria present much better value property than the Costa del Sol, according to foreign property experts Atlas International. And prices in these areas are on the up due to the increase in demand, but they are said to still be affordable.
The Costa del Sol, meanwhile, has become too expensive for many property hunters looking for a holiday home or investment property in Spain.
And the Spanish property market is said to have avoided many of the problems currently facing homeowners in the UK.
James Dearsley, European sales manager at Atlas International, said: "One of the advantages of the Costa Blanca or the Costa Almeria is that they're a lot cheaper. People are moving from the Costa del Sol to the Costa Blanca because they want more for their money. Costa Blanca over the last nine years has seen an increase of 275 per cent."
This has been put down to the areas having a climate as warm as other more well-known areas which have become unaffordable.
