A performing arts festival will be tempting holidaymakers looking for some authentic Spanish fun to Madrid this summer.
During July and August the Veranos de la Villa Summer Festival will take over Madrid, transforming the Spanish city into a beacon of colourful entertainment.
To celebrate the 23rd year of the festival, event organisers say they want to surprise revellers and "fulfil all their dreams" by making the "heart of [the] city beat even more intensely".
On August 2nd flamenco singer Enrique Morente will perform at the Jardines de Sabatini, wowing audiences with his poetic music.
Many of Morente's songs are influenced by great figures in Spanish literature, such as San Juan de la Cruz, María Zambrano and Miguel de Cervantes, giving the audience an additional insight into the nation's culture.
A whole host of other events will take place at various venues around the city during the summer months, giving holidaymakers a wide range of entertainment to enjoy.
