Holidaymakers visiting Spain will be able to enjoy a five-day display of amateur dramatics this month.
Between August 26th and 30th the Girona International Amateur Theatre Festival (FITAG) will take place for the eighth time.
Described by the International Amateur Theatre Association as a "meeting place for amateur theatre from all over Europe" the event is sure to attract a high calibre of drama.
It aims to encourage drama groups from around the world to exchange their theatrical ideas and expressions, creating a "space for dialogue, debate and discovery".
Girona is located in the south-east of Spain, not far from Barcelona, and could be the perfect place for families who have taken their cars abroad on a cross-channel ferry to drive to.
The Lonely Planet travel guide says although Girona may be rich in history, it is "no stuffy museum".
It describes the Spanish destination, which is Catalonia's largest city, as boasting bags of charm.
