Spain continues to draw visitors and investors

Spain is continuing to draw British tourists and investors as it has for many years, one expert has indicated.

Despite the growing popularity of other destinations around the world, Terry Walker from the Property In Spain website has asserted that Britain's love-affair with Spain remains as strong as ever.

Millions of people make cheap ferry journeys to Spain on an annual basis and Ms Walker attributes the country's continuing popularity to "accessibility, friendly culture and sunshine".

Furthermore, anone looking to make an investment in the Mediterranean country can benefit from the relative strength of the euro at present.

"This is a long established market and as it remains Europe's favourite holiday destination, property investors cannot lose out," Ms Walker remarked.

Figures released by the Department of communities and Local Government have shown that a third of all second homes owned by British consumers were located in Spain during 2005-2006.
