Children taking a holiday to Spain in the New Year may be lucky enough to see the three wise men in action.
Taking place on January 5th, Alicante will be hosting a festival which is a key event on its calendar, as visitors watch the trio, who are in costume, process through the streets.
It is a build up to the Dia de los Reyes Magos, which takes place on January 6th, although the night of the 5th is when most of the action takes place.
Children gather to see the kings at the Plaza de Toros, before they take a tour of the whole city. Holidaymakers observing from the Plaza de Los Lucernos, Avenida de Alfonso el Sabio and Rambla de Mendez will be able to view the procession, which begins at 17:00. They end up at the Ayuntamiento balcony where the kings give a speech to the crowds.
Other towns and cities will be having similar processions on the same day.
