The Spanish village of Obejo is a small place with almost 1,800 residents.
However, in the four days around the second Saturday in July, the town comes alive with its festival celebrating the patron saint San Benito. The majority of the town's families come out for the event, some of them on horseback, and money is pinned onto the gown of the statue of San Benito.
One of the highlights of the event is the renowned sword dance, which follows a special mass held in honour of the saint.
Swordsmen gather outside the church dressed in white shirts with red waistbands while dancing with their weapons to music provided by a tambourine and an accordion.
The climax of the dance comes when the men carry out a mock execution of the master of the dance. Market stalls and other festivities also take place.
Obejo is located in the Spanish province of Cordoba.
