Holidaymakers 'still heading to Disneyland Paris'

The temptation of Disneyland Paris is proving too much for holidaymakers during the tougher economic times, it has been revealed.

Chief executive of the Walt Disney Company Robert Iger has said that holidaymakers are continuing to have fairytale fun at the theme park, which has not seen any downturn in custom, reports Associated Press.

He told the news provider: "While the economy is definitely getting a bit tougher, our business has been quite resilient under the circumstances."

The Disney expert added that given the credit crunch's effect on the travel and tourism business in general Disneyland Resort Paris, is "defying gravity given the circumstances".

Disney revealed in July this year that the revenue created by its parks and resorts grew by five per cent in the third quarter.

Walt Disney Corporation, which began trading in the tourism sector in 1953, has a total of five resorts encompassing 11 theme parks on three continents.
