These include terms & conditions for standard and promotional offers and form part of the main P&O Ferries Terms of Business.
Dover-Calais
When you travel Dover - Calais 20:55 - 06:35 and Calais to Dover 22:40 - 0935, our lite nights service means that there are limited on board facilities but we will offer hot food, the onboard bar, bureau de change and Offshore shopping. All other outlets will be closed. Services may be increased. Foot passenger fares may be unavailable on Lite nights.
day trips
Fare is based on Car and up to nine people. Unless specified, a day trip is valid for travel out and return anytime within the same calendar day. Daytrips booked online are available to book 28 days in advance of travel of chosen travel date.
Short Break
Fare shown qualifies for journeys over the day trip and up to five days (120hrs) on the Continent. Semi-Flexible bookings are amendable, subject to an administration fee of £10/14 euros per amendment. Any amendment may also result in a request for additional payment, being equal to the difference between the original ticket price paid and the fare for the new sailing(s) and/or vehicle type requested. Bookings may be cancelled, however a cancellation fee of £30/46 euros will apply.
Any duration
Qualifies for journeys over the ‘short break’ fare. Semi-Flexible bookings are amendable, subject to an administration fee of £10/14 euros per amendment . Any amendment may also result in a request for additional payment, being equal to the difference between the original ticket price paid and the fare for the new sailing(s) and/or vehicle type requested. Bookings may be cancelled, however a cancellation fee of £30/46 euros will apply.
Car Park Shopper
Goods that are purchased on the outward journey only will be delivered to your car upon arrival in Calais and must be accompanied by a passenger. It is your responsibility to satisfy HM Customs that all purchases are for personal use. There will be restricted availability on Lite night sailings between Dover to Calais 20:55-06:35 and Calais - Dover 22:40 - 09:45. In the event that you wish to disembark at Calais you must advise us when you check-in at Dover or as soon as possible prior to arrival in Calais. Your return trip to Dover must be taken onboard the same ship, which departs approximately 45 minutes after arrival in Calais. Failure to do so will invalidate your ticket.
Children's meals up to 50% off
Children can eat half price in the International Food Court. This offer applies to Dover - Calais and Portsmouth - Bilbao routes only.
0% commission onboard
0% commission is available on currency exchange in our Bureau de Change onboard. This offer maybe withdrawn at any time.
Portsmouth - Bilbao
Sailings from Portsmouth to Bilbao involve 2 nights onboard, return sailings from Bilbao to Portsmouth include 1 or 2 nights on board - please allow this travelling time when booking your travel. Bilbao offer states 'from' £249 each way for a car and up to 2 people, including an inside cabin and all taxes. Offer valid for travel on selected sailings in October 2007. Onboard accommodation is compulsory on all sailings to Bilbao. Cabin upgrades will incur additional costs. £10 amendment fees apply.
Portsmouth Minicruises
Prices correct at time of publication and are subject to change. All offers subject to restricted space, sailings and dates and may be withdrawn without prior notice. Unless otherwise stated, all prices are per person based on 2 people sharing a 2 berth en suite cabin. Number of nights shown represent the nights spent onboard the cruiseferry. Onboard meals, upgrades and shore excursions are excluded from the promotion. Additional conditions or restrictions will apply to all male/female groups (10 persons or more).
Hull routes
Semi flexible ticket: For travel throughout 2007.Short break offer shown qualifies for 2 nights onboard and up to 5 nights on the Continent, period return qualifies for durations greater than the short break. Supplements will apply for peak travel. Savings apply to the passenger and vehicle fare (prices will vary according to tariff band you are travelling on). Full payment must be made at the time of booking. Hull offer states 'from' £98 each way for a car, 2 passengers including a standard inside cabin and all taxes. Offer valid for travel during 2007.. Supplements will apply for peak travel (1/4/07 – 30/09/2007). Accommodation is compulsory on overnight crossings to Rotterdam and Zeebrugge. .
Minicruises
Book from 16th June 2008 and travel between 1 July and 30 September 2008. Prices are subject to restricted space, sailings and dates can be withdrawn without prior notice. Prices are per person based on 2 adults sharing an inside en-suite cabin travelling from Hull on consecutive nights, it includes return city centre coach transfers to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Bruges (although not for Motorist Minicruise). The number of nights shown (2 nights) represents the number of nights spent onboard. Extra bight option (3 night Minicruise) is available on payment of a supplement. Motorist Minicruise is excluded from the extra night option. Any overnight accommodation on the continent must be booked and paid for by the passenger independently; it is not included in the extra night supplement. For any accommodation booking made with Superbreak, Octopus or any other accommodation partner, your contract is with Superbreak, Octopus or any other third party partner. Copies of their terms and conditions are available on request from the accommodation partner. Single person supplement will apply. Any vehicle carrying freight or vehicles designed for commercial use including vehicles higher than 2.4 metres and / or longer than 6 metres including minibuses, motorhomes and vans will not be permitted to travel on the motorist Minicruise. This offer is not applicable for groups of 10 or more passengers. The pre-booked onboard meals discount is based on the % difference between the book on board price and the pre-booked price. A booking fee will be charged on all credit card payments. P&O Ferries terms of business apply, copies available on-line or on request.
2 for 1 Minicruises
Supplements apply for all other cabin types. ‘2 for 1’ - ‘One pays one goes free’ promotion applies to ferry, cabin, coach transfers and where appropriate (motorist minicruise) vehicle elements of your booking only. Pre-booked/onboard meals, retail offers, hotel accommodation, Themed minicruises, taxes are included from this promotion. For any accommodation booking made with Superbreak, your contract is with Superbreak. Copies are available on request from Superbreak.
The pre-booked onboard meals discount is based on the % difference between the booked onboard price and the pre-booked price. A booking fee will be charged on all credit card payments.
Themed minicruise entertainment is correct at time of going to press. P&O Ferries reserve the right to change or withdraw featured entertainment.
General offer terms and conditions
all routes
All offers are subject to restricted space, sailings and dates and correct at the time of publication and may be withdrawn without notice. Full payment is due at the time we confirm your booking. This may be made by major credit or debit card or by personal cheque (supported by a valid cheque guarantee card when made in person). Payments made by credit card or cheque will be subject to a booking fee. For bookings where payment is due at the time of booking, payments by cheque via the post must be received within 10 days of making the booking or prior to sailing if this is sooner.
Prices shown may vary depending on the sailing tariff you are travelling on. Bookings are amendable but no refunds or cancellations will be permitted. Where, under the terms of an offer, an amendment is allowed, an administration fee of £10 will be charged on each occasion that the booking is amended. This fee will apply to any change in the route, date, time, accommodation, passenger numbers or vehicle type. Should you require written confirmation of your booking you must request it at the time of booking and a fee of £5 will be charged. These offers may not be used in conjunction with any other offer, voucher, nor are they further discountable. Discount shown applies to vehicle fares only. Accommodation is compulsory on overnight sailings to Bilbao, Rotterdam and Zeebrugge. All bookings of restricted duration are only valid where the outward and return journeys are completed within the specific time, with the same vehicle and passengers and using the same operator. If you fail to travel on one part of your booking then we may charge you a supplement. This supplement will be the difference between the amount you have paid and the price for the standard single fare appropriate to the sailing used. This payment will be collected using the same credit card details provided when paying for the original booking. Ships and facilities vary between routes. Offer is not valid on combined tickets and tour operators' tickets. Fares are not available to book at the port. Motorhomes and minibuses are subject to supplement where height and length limits are exceeded. Offers exclude vehicles designed for commercial use and vehicles being used for commercial purposes. Offer does not include bookings under the P&O Ferries Concessionary fare scheme. To 'opt-in' is to agree to receive marketing communication from us. Pre-booked meals
The pre-booked onboard meals discount is based on the % difference between the booked onboard price and the pre-booked price. Meals are free for children under 4 yrs when accompanied by paying adult.
Onboard retail offers
Prices may vary according to exchange rate fluctuations but are correct at the time of advertising or going to press. All offers shown are subject to availability. Some offers may not be available at all outlets. Savings shown are against a notional High Street price for a comparable quantity taking the average of prices established in a survey of UK High Street outlets. (Full details available on request).
