honfleur

A gem of a place, tucked away at the mouth of the Seine

The Old Dock is surrounded by picturesque old narrow houses. The Lieutenance and Stephen's Church are well worth seeing too.

Is there a local speciality?
The Pont L'evesque cheese from the neighbouring town.

Any good activities around?
If you fancy a game of bowls or tennis, the local park is worth a visit. And don’t forget the beaches. A stroll on nearby Deauville or Trouville beach will blow the cobwebs away. Or, for something a bit different, why not try a day at the races?

When's market day?
There's an organic market on Thursday mornings. Nearby artists' studios are well worth a visit too.

Interesting town fact
Honfleur has long been an inspiration for French artists. Monet, Seurat and Boudin have all created work here.
