Londonderry City of Culture 2013

Visit Londonderry, the City of Culture 2013 and be part of a year to remember! This year sees a fantastic year of events including art, music, theatre and the ever popular festivals for you to enjoy. The Radio 1 Big Weekend featuring Bruno Mars, Rita Ora, Two Door Cinema Club and Dizzee Rascal, amongst many others, kick starts the summer between the 24th and 26th May and the amazing atmosphere is set to continue throughout the year with everything from a Sky Orchestra to the Turner Prize 2013, the first time the event has ever been held outside of England.

World Police & Fire Games 2013

Belfast will host the World Police & Fire Games from 1-10 August 2013 when they hope to attract 10,000 competitors from around 70 countries. The Games will include approximately 56 sports at 42 venues across Northern Ireland raising not only its international profile but also the list of things for you to see and do in Northern Ireland in 2013.

WPFGF is made up of serving and retired fire, police and prison officers from across the world. Their mission is to create community interaction and awareness, educate children on the benefits of sport, and develop camaraderie between members of the emergency services from around the world. Previous host cities include Melbourne, Australia and New York City, USA and sports include Dodgeball, Karate, Surfing, Triathlon and Ultimate Firefighter.
