We nail our colours to the mast when it comes to buying the best British produce for our ferries.

P&O Ferries is on constant mission to search out more British producers and give priority to those close to our routes.  This also reduces the impact of transporting the thousands of tonnes of food and drink we require each year.

The result is an ever increasing choice of British produce on board, ranging from fruit and veg’, to meat, eggs, pies, pasties, crisps, ice cream, beer and cider.  In Kent, for example, we take tonnes of fresh vegetables every week from grower C J Bean & Sons, based at Links Farm, Worth - just ten miles from the Dover fleet.  And Spitfire ale from Faversham’s Shepherd Neame brewery is flying off the ships!

Verification of supplies is an important factor so the ferry company is a close ally of trade associations such as The Great English Apple Campaign and British Potato Council.  The English Beef and Lamb Executive ensures that all beef and lamb sold by P&O Ferries can be traced to top home producers.
