For those customers with mobility issues we have endeavoured to provide facilities to ensure the journey is hassle-free.
- When travelling from the terminal, there is a specially adapted bus for those customers requiring some assistance, just ask a member of staff. There is assistance available for those customers with mobility issues during embarkation and disembarkation. Customers can be helped to or from their cabins to their vehicles (or minibus for foot passengers). During embarkation there are members of staff available on the card deck and also in the lifts to assist.
- We have a number of cabins, situated near lifts, which have wide entrance and WC doors for those travelling with wheelchairs. In the shower cubicle there is a lot more space with a safety rail and a disabled stool.
- Those choosing to travel in a club cabin can request that some of the furniture be removed to make more space.
- Disabled public toilets can be found on deck 6 opposite the shop and outside the main bar on deck 7.
- In the cinemas there are ramps to gain access and space available for people to remain in wheelchairs.
- Those passengers with mobility issues can access the outer decks on deck 8 forward square.
- When dining in the restaurant customers can ask for some furniture to be removed to make more room. If a passenger prefers to use the dining chair rather than their wheelchair a waiter will assist. There is also the option to have a waiter approach the buffet to collect food if mobility is very restricted.
- Those passengers who are hard-of-hearing or deaf can arrange a wake up call by making themselves known to staff at reception.
- Passengers with impaired sight or blindness can receive procedures to follow in the event of an emergency from the reception desk. These are available in braille and specially written for the visually impaired in English, Spanish and French
- For those passengers that have medication which needs to be refrigerated, there is a fridge at the reception desk which is manned 24 hours a day.
- There is a lift which is designed to give people with wheelchairs more space, this can be found at the back of the cruise ferry.
- For customers who may need medical assistance the medical centre can be found on deck 8.
- Any customers who wish to hire a wheelchair while they are on board (numbers are limited) all you need to do is provide a £20 deposit. Once the wheelchair is returned you will receive your deposit. Please be advised that wheelchairs cannot leave the ship when in port.
If you have any special requirements, which have not been mentioned above, then please inform us when you book and we will always try to accommodate these on the Pride of Bilbao.
