The largest ferries on the Dover strait
The Spirit of France began its service on the Dover – Calais route in mid February. At more than 47,000 gross tons and 213 metres in length, Spirit of France, and sister ship Spirit of Britain which began service last year, are the largest ferries ever built for the Dover Strait. The combined cost of €360 million is the largest investment ever made by P&O Ferries.
To see just how amazing our two new superferries are take a look at our dedicated site POferries.com/newships. You'll find exclusive photos, renders, a build timeline and even virtual walkthroughs - which uses the latest technology to bring the ships to life, so you can explore the ships before you've even step foot on them!
