The Stedelijk Museum reopens its doors to the public again. The historical building has been restored and a new addition is soaring above Museumplein like a modern sculpture. The Stedelijk Museum is the largest museum of modern and contemporary art and design in the Netherlands which together with the nearby Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum offers a unique opportunity to admire five centuries of art history.

Van Gogh on the move
From 29 September 2012 until 25 April 2013 the Van Gogh Museum collection will be temporarily hosted by the Hermitage Amsterdam with the presentation Vincent. During this period, the Van Gogh Museum will be undergoing a renovation.
