An afternoon with Brian Wood will take you into the battlefield, offering an insight into Brian’s experiences within the British Army and life after.
Join us on board the Pride of Rotterdam on Friday 17th September in our Show Bar, as we bring you an afternoon of moving and thought provoking talks from Sunday Times best-selling author and the real-life story that inspired BBC drama ‘Danny Boy’, Brian Wood.
Brian's engaging and inspirational talks will take you into the battlefield during his experiences within the British Army and will touch upon key points such as; Emotional resilience, Teamwork, Values, Mental health and Leadership. Brian's talk will be followed by a 30 minute Q&A session, and the opportunity to network with likeminded individuals.
This is a great opportunity for business networking, as well as a perfect opportunity for those individuals who want to gain a deeper insight into Brian’s story and have been following his incredible story from the beginning.

Brian Wood MC is a former Colour Sergeant of the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, serving and leading on the front line on many occasions throughout his military career. He was awarded the Military Cross, one of Britain’s highest awards for gallantry in combat, by Her Majesty The Queen II, following his courageous leadership under enemy fire in Iraq.
Today, Brian Wood utilises his experiences in the armed forces to deliver highly inspirational and compelling talks. Engaging groups by sharing his first hand experiences, Brian shares details from the battlefield to life beyond the military, and suggests ways that the lessons he has learnt can be applied in the corporate world.
