GETTING TO HULL PORT

You can easily get to Hull ferry terminal by road if you are driving your own car. Alternatively, if you’re taking public transport, it’s only a short journey when getting a taxi or bus from the city centre to Hull port.

Below you’ll find all the information you need to get there on your departure day.

Make sure you leave in plenty of time! Check-in for all passengers sailing from Hull to Rotterdam closes 90 minutes before departure at Terminal 1.

If you’re travelling to Hull port in your own vehicle, whether that’s a car, caravan or motorhome, or van, we’ve got all the information you’ll need so you can easily plan a safe and relaxing trip. When travelling in your own car we recommend checking that your travel insurance is up to date and that you’ve made arrangements for European Breakdown Cover, just in case! You can never be too prepared.

Bringing some extra things with you, like a bike or perhaps a special little furry friend? We’ve put together all the information you’ll need for bringing these along with you too. And did you know there’s no luggage limit when you travel from Hull to Rotterdam with us? So pack as much (or little) as you might need, at no extra cost.

GETTING TO PORT

Finding your way to the port...

  • CAR

    From the north, follow either the M62 or A1079 and join the A63 to Hull city centre. If you’re coming from the south, take follow the A15 across the Humber Bridge then turn east to find the A63 that way. Once in Hull, follow the signs to King George Dock & Ferries and Terminal 1.

  • BUS/COACH

    The Hull ferry bus pick-up point is at Paragon Interchange, Stand 38 (Bus 70). Last bus: 17:00. If you’re taking this coach you don’t need to worry about check-in times. Cost is £3.25 (single).

    Europoort to Amsterdam: Following disembarkation/immigration procedures the transfer leaves from the terminal and goes to: Bus Stop Lovers, Prins Hendrikkade 25. The transfer time is approximately 90 minutes depending on the traffic. You will be collected from here at 17.00 sharp to return to the port. The cost of this journey is £7/€11.50 (single).

  • TRAIN

    Hull can be reached easily by train from locations in the North of England and Scotland. The taxi fare from Hull train station to the ferry terminal is approximately £10 (€16).

  • FOOT

    If you’re travelling on foot or taking one of our minicruises, you must check-in via Terminal 1.


PLAN AHEAD

  • The terminal can get busy at peak times so please arrive in plenty of time for your ferry.
  • Car parking at Hull is chargeable at £8 per 24hr period. Please note this will increase to £8 from the 1st January 2019.
  • It’s important we get everyone on board quickly so all ferries can depart on schedule.

Travelling By Car – Top Tip


Before you leave for Hull Port make sure you know how to turn your car alarm off, as you will be asked to do this when you arrive for check-in. This is to prevent car alarms going off during the sailing. Please refer to your car manual for instructions on how to disable your car alarm.
